Welcome!   9 comments

Welcome! Thank you for coming and I’m glad you’re here. Hopefully you find what you’re looking for!

This is the new (moved in Oct. 2012) home for Nostalgic Lavender.

To navigate, please use the categories on the left-hand sidebar. Also, please be aware that only Maaya Sakamoto’s section is currently complete.

This site is more or less on hiatus since I do professional translation work in addition to my day job (I live and work in Tokyo) and it is hard for me to make the time to do unpaid translation work anymore, especially knowing my hard work might get stolen and reposted with or without credit.

If you can’t view one or more images/read a lyric translation, please comment and let me know so I can try and fix the problem. Thank you!!

  1. I think you’re doing a spectacular job! Thanks for all of the translating and bringing these beautiful lyrics to us common folk 🙂

  2. Where are the shakira ones?

  3. Thanks for all the letters of Maaya Sakamoto, you’ve been a great help, I love this singer.
I wanted a font that is not on your site called “Mama Wasurerarenai” Can you find him?
    Thanks ^^

    • I think you mean “Wasurerarenai mama” – which is a song that unfortunately does not have a release on a Maaya Sakamoto album or single, and thus it is not on this site and was also not on the old one. Sorry 😦

      • Thank you for the information, it is a beautiful song, can not find it anywhere. But still I am eternally grateful for the translation of other songs on your site. Sorry to miss the name of the song, I wrote too fast. ^^

  4. Hello Seri,

I am writing from Hong Kong, i saw your post in Electric Mole forum so it gets me here. I just notice Ringo is back on stage this Nov and the fansclub lottery has passed. Wonder if you know what’s the next step that got higher chance to get these very short demand tickets? I just heard about the ID identification rule imposed for these concerts which makes me very hard to get ticket from any 3rd parties in HK ticket agents or from JP bidding sites.

I already got my vacation plan approved by my boss and i just need one tix to go 😦

Wonder if you can shed me some lights for that. Much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Nick

    • First of all, please don’t post the same comment two days in a row.

Second, I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can help you. As a fanclub member, I got two tickets, but I have already invited someone to join me. They will be selling more tickets to the general public but there are no details yet on when that will begin. Your options are: find someone who is a fanclub member with two tickets and go with them, or wait for the general public tickets to go on sale and attempt to get one. I don’t know what the ID requirements will be like for the general tickets.
